Maple Loft Cafe is in the vicinity of Tanjong Pagar Community Centre on Cantonment Road. You will not see the community centre but only the Entrance as it is hidden by the gigantic Pinnacle @ Duxton.
The cafe has glass panels instead of solid wall. This makes it looks very much like an aquarium. The floor are raw with only cement, an in design.
There are both indoor seats and al fresco options. You could choose from the communal table, comfy sofa, high tables or the normal dining tables for the indoor seats. If you like Al Fresco dining, you could view the Pinnacle @ Duxton and enjoy the architecture.
As there are glass panels, they have creatively stick on stickers to decorate the cafe creating a lovely feel.
As for the food, there are different beverages and some simple cakes and pastries and waffles. I didn’t feel like having waffles that day so I ordered an old schooled lemon cake and a cappuccino.
When the coffee was served, I feel it looked like a Latte than Cappuccin while the coffee tasted like it was made from the Nespresso machine. The Lemon Cake taste great. It was fluffy, with tint of buttery taste and hint of lemon flavour. It was a shame that it was not paired with a great cup of coffee.
Maple Loft though is not a cafe for coffee, it is definitely a cosy comfy cafe, good for chilling out with friends or with your family and kids and it serves delicious cakes. There are other beverage options which I am sure that they will make better choices.
