2 Loaves Bakery has a very small shop space at Commonwealth Drive. After the display counters and table and chairs occupying both sides, the shop could probably accommodate only two rows of customers. The feel of the bakery is modern cum old school as the mosaic tiles and the tables and chairs were old school accompanied with modern display counters and some modern ornaments.
I saw that they have some bakes like the loaf cakes, lava cakes, different flavours of cheesecakes, tarts, brownies, cinnamon rolls and biscuits.
I got an original cheesecake and a banana loaf home to share.
The original cheesecake has a good amount of cheese giving enough cheesy creamy aroma with some vanilla hint. It seems that they used digestive biscuit as the cake base. I used that to bake my cheesecake too. But I find that they added a little too much of sugar to the biscuit base. I could bite off the sugar grain.
Each mouthful of the Banana Loaf has a good banana flavour that permeated the tastebud. But strangely somehow, it also emit a distinct, separate sweetness which did not blend with the banana aroma.
On the whole, I think 2 Loaves is only average. Maybe the other item would be taste better. I am interested to try the biscuit the next time.
