Sam Tor (三多面食) is a small shop specialised in noodles. You can find the noodles in soup or dry. They serve the noodles with different ingredients, from fishballs, different type of meat balls to dumplings to beef brisket to many more. There are different noodles to choose from too. They serve some side dishes as well, in case you find having only noodles a bit boring.
Beside the Ala Carte Menu, Sam Tor has an ‘Afternoon Tea’ Menu between 2.30pm and 6pm. It comes with a drink when noodles were ordered. I was there at about 12pm so not eligible for the set. I ordered a dumpling noodle soup and a ice lemon tea.
The dumpling was huge, extra rounded and flavourful as there were lots of different ingredients in the filling such as shredded bamboo shoots, thinly sliced black fungus, tiny shrimps and minced pork. There was enough seasoning to bring out the full flavour of the dumpling. I enjoyed the dumpling but it would be even better if the wrapper skin could be thinner. As for the noodles, it was great. The texture of the noodles was bouncy and soft to the bite and most importantly there wasn’t any alkaline taste. But there was some room for improvement for the soup. The soup is not flavourful enough. I think they need to add a little more ingredients to boil the soup.
The chilli oil is praiseworthy but I did not try. Do remember to give it a try. A lot of patrons were there due to the chilli oil.
