Tai Cheong Bakery is a traditional Chinese Bakery in Hong Kong, located at Lyndhurst Terrace, Central.
It sells many Chinese Traditional pastries, being Egg Tarts their fame and most popular product. Many tourists and local were attracted to the shop to savour a freshly baked Egg Tarts.
I was there also for the Egg Tarts and nothing else. I brought back 6 Egg Tarts for the family.
Tai Cheong Bakery’s Egg Tart has a very butter biscuit-like tart base, not the flaky type. The tart base melt in the mouth and it is very much like the crumble. It was very delicious. The egg custard was eggy and it paired off very well with the tart. Every aspect of the tart was baked to perfection except for the sweetness level. I find it a little too sweet. If you have a sweet sweet tooth, Tai Cheong Bakery’s Egg Tart is perfect for you.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed the Egg Tarts. It was gone within a day. Lol!
