Good Hope Noodle In Mongkok, Starred By Michelin Star

I have walked past Good Hope Noodle (好旺角面家) a few times but never once thought of trying until I saw it on a website, highly recommending Good Hope Noodle and it highlighted that it was a featured by Michelin Star. And since I was in the mood for wonton mee so thought I should give it a try.

The restaurant was operating at 100% capacity when we were there on a weekday at about 7pm. We need to wait for a while for a table for three person.

Good Hope Noodle offers both noodles and congee and some other dishes and vegetables. The selection is a focus one.

Sliced Beef & Pork Liver Congee

The congee was not extremely thick and was smooth in texture, full of sweet meaty flavour. Both the beef and liver were cooked to perfection. The beef and liver was still tender and soft, not tough at all. It was an excellent dish.

Wonton Mee

The Wonton Mee was in a bowl of flavourful soup and it was delish. The noodle was Al Dente and most importantly, I don’t taste the alkaline taste at all, not at all. The wonton was filled with plump succulent crunchy prawn, though a little too salty. All aspect was above satisfaction. By far, this is the best Wonton Mee I have tried. I still think that there should be something even better than this.

We ordered some vegetables to go along. Nothing noticeable about the greens. It was not overcooked and still crunchy and the colour was still looking great.

Overall, both the Wonton Mee and Congee was excellent, very delish. Most may find the portion a little too small. But was fine for me, a small eater. I would highly recommend this to all.
