Debailleul is a cafe offering French Dessert, Coffee and Tea, located at the Harbourcity, Ocean Centre.
The colour theme is mainly white. Pretty classy, pretty elegant, at the same time, pretty boring colour scheme.
They have some Tea Set as an option, if otherwise, there’s also Ala Carte option with cakes, cupcakes, macaroons and some pastries for selection.
I wanted to try Rubico, a cake with dark chocolate mousse and raspberry marmalade but was unavailable. It was very disappointing that most were not available, there were only 3 selection as option. So out of the three, Tiramisu was an option which I selected.
The Tiramisu was a little too plain. The cream cheese layer seems like it is lacking in egg yolks as ingredient. It taste purely mascarpone cheese. The sponge cake was lacking of espresso and alcohol. Though the thin chocolate layer by the side of the cake tasted really good. Overall, it wasn’t the kinda of Tiramisu I enjoy.
Moreover, the service was poor. The four girls at the cafe, all gathered together at the counter chit chatting and did not even bother to come forward to see if help was required or whatsoever. The worse was one of the girl kept avoiding eye contact with me. I may be wrong but at least that was how I feel.
Simply, I wouldn’t recommend this cafe to any one as I don’t have a good experience.
