Tong Pak Fu is a small dessert shop located in a quiet corner of Mongkok, in between Mongkok Station and Mongkok East Station.
I like the feel and the decoration of this dessert shop. They used a little colour to brighten the shop. It was pleasant and soothing.
This dessert shop is one of the shop that serve a very wide range of desserts, ranging from the western style dessert such as Crepe, the French Style pastries such as Millefeuille-looking kind of dessert, Hong Kong Styled dessert with a twist and the Traditional Hong Kong Styled dessert.
After much contemplation, I decided to have the Mango Pomelo dessert which they named it “Neige with Chilled Mango Sago Creme with Pomelo”. It was one of the best. As it has enough natural mango flavour and mango dices in the dessert. It has a very good balance of creaminess and sweetness too. The pomelo was sufficient as well.
Don’t be fooled by the centre white scoop, it isn’t an ice cream but a solid white cream. This is the only down side of the dessert. I would very much prefer if ice cream was added instead.
