I was attracted by the cake counter place at the doorsteps of Le Pokka Grand at the Grand Plaza at Mongkok that I was keen to try their food.
It is mainly a restaurant serving western food. The restaurant interior looks elegant and classy with lots of chandelier all over the restaurant. Look very much like the restaurant in China.
The restaurant offers both Set Menu and Ala Carte Menu. Selection was great.
I decided on the Set Lunch. I chose Set D from five different set. The set lunch has a main course and a hot drink
The soft-boiled egg on the pasta, in particular the yolk was delicious. It was runny, not at all over cook. The sauce used was Bolognese Sauce. The smoked duck slices were thick and pretty big pieces and quite a number, 5 – 6 pieces.
The coffee was a dark roasted, robust, low acidity and full body. Pretty decent.
My verdict on the restaurant was the food was pretty delish but it comes not cheap. The service was good but you expect to wait for the food to be served. If you need a fast lunch, this is not the place. It has spacious seating with comfy cushy seats. A great restaurant to meet up with friends, chit chat over some food.
