Panda Burger At Tai Kok Tsui Serving Authentic American Styled Burgers

After having so much of Chinese (Cantonese) food, I kind of have a craving for Western food so its time to change gear and we went to Panda Burger at Tai Kok Tsui for a change.

It was after all, a small tiny shop with not much seats. Most of the patrons are there for takeaway. But we were there to dine in the burger shop. The shop was full till not even a single seat was available. While waiting, we didn’t want to waste more time so we decide what we wanted for sharing. Since it is a burger shop, the main menu was burgers, though they have a few pasta as well.

We ordered a total of 3 combo and 2 Ala Carte for sharing among 4 people. All the combo come with a drink and a side. The selection for sides are French Fries, Green Salad and Coleslaws. Since we have 3 combo, we ordered all the three sides. The sides were equally good.

The Cajun Chicken Burger does taste like Cajun. It tasted like chicken thigh meat lightly salted with caramelised onions and lettuce and tomato and some mayonnaise. The caramelised onions was not well carmaelised. The sweetness of the onions did not fully develop.

We wanted to try some other than burger so we opted for a Jumbo Hot Dog. The hot dog was delicious. It was a great idea to topped with caramelised onions and preserved cucumber. It would taste much better if the caramelised onions were better caramelised.

The highlights of the meal is the Angus Beef Burger. It was delicious. The minced beef in the burger wasn’t extremely fine so you can taste the meat and it gave some meat text too. I see that they don’t add any filler. The entire beef patty was made with the real beef. There was generous amount of mayonnaise and lettuce and tomato added. It is a must try if you are there.

We ordererd two sides Ala Carte. The Onion Rings and Buffalo Wings. Both were very delish too.

Though small but the food is very authentic. It is definitely a great cafe to pop by when you are craving for burgers.
