Passion By Gerard Dubois is a lovely cafe specialising in baking high quality French pastries. Just to name a few, you can find cakes, croissant, muffins, quiches, macaroons, cup cakes and … There are two outlets in Hong Kong; one in Tsim Sha Tsui and the other is in Wan Chai.
The cafe is feels warm and cosy. It feels very much you are in an European House. It has lots of lovely ornaments, adding to warm touch. The cafe has mainly the high communal tables with two normal tables by the side for twos. There are a few Al Fresco seats for those who like the natural air.
Look at the colourful cup cakes and macaroons. They are so lovely. I like especially the macaroons as on each macaroon’s shell, there are some design with additional colours. Unlike most of which they are in one plain single colour.
I was in the moode for Quiche Lorraiane so I ordered one and a cappuccino, my favourite coffee.
The quiche was excellent. It has a good amount of ham and lots of onions to add flavour to the quiche. It was too salty and yet not bland at all. In other word, a great balance.
The coffee was decent. It has a medium to low body with a good aroma, medium acidity. The coffee has mainly a nutty hint and feel and taste creamy.
I enjoyed my breakfast, especially the quiche. I am looking forward to try more of their bakes soon.
