Butcher Club At Wan Chai, A Burger Restaurant with Secret Menu

I heard a lot about Butcher Club, a Burger Restaurant in Wan Chai. I have been wanting to try. The first time I popped by in July it was closed as they were out of gas. As a result, anticipation was built. At last, I made it in August.

The restaurant is pretty tiny with not much of seats. Mainly high tables with high chairs. It gets quite squeeze when the restaurant was packed. This is especially true during lunch hours.

They have a “normal” menu which is displayed in the restaurant and a “secret” menu. To get hold of the “secret” menu, scan the QR code.

I decided to order the Burger that is on the “normal” menu and the Duck Fat Fries.

The burger has a good thick patty of beef. The beef was well marinated, flavourful patty but I find it a little dry. Especially so on the outer layer of the beef patty. The patty wasn’t “juicy” enough. There were lots of sauces in the burger as well. I like the sauce. For the wedges, a little over fried, it was pretty dry and I tasted a little burnt.

The experience at the Butcher Club was interesting, especially having a “secret” menu, that was kinda fun. The burger could have been perfect if it was more juicy. I think it would be best to go after lunch hours, after 2pm.
