I was in the mood to try some Green Tea or Matcha Ice Soft Cream Ice Cream or sometimes known as Soft Serve when I was in Hong Kong. I went round for a hunt.

The matcha soft serve at Honey Sparkling has a good green tea flavour too though the texture is a little not that smooth and it has some ice crystal in it. That was a pity.

The Green Tea Ice Cream at first mouth, there is a good flavour of matcha but as I continue eating, my mouth was filled with sweetness from the sugar instead of the sweet matcha flavour. It was a shame.

An ice cream palour with only matcha and vanilla soft cream ice cream. There is only takeaway option.
I tried the Green Tea Soft Cream Cup Combo (A3) with Mochi Balls and Green Tea Jelly. The green tea soft cream was excellent so is the mochi ball. The green tea soft cream has a great and enough of green tea flavour and it was quite creamy. I was surprise to find such a great balance in the soft cream. It was chewy and has a nice subtle sweet hint. The green tea jelly has a nice texture but I could hardly taste the green tea flavour, probably due to the Green Tea Soft Cream that has a strong flavour. I like it very much as it has a strong enough green tea flavour. For those who like a lighter flavour, you may find this a little too strong in green tea flavour.

When I reached the shop on a rainy afternoon, thinking that the rain should drive away the crowd but I was wrong. A queue (of about a dozen of people) was formed outside the small shop of about twenty seats (max).
I decided to have a take away, though not the ideal but the best option then. The green tea ice cream has a good flavour but wasn’t as creamy. The soft cream on the whole wasn’t too strong nor too light, it has a great balance of all aspect. I think this is good for the general ice cream lover. The mochi is as great with a good chewy and slight sweet hint.
This isn’t my favourite as I like a strong green tea flavour.

I know this is not a green tea soft serve, but it is one of the best chocolate soft serve that I like. It has a very good bitter sweet chocolate in the soft cream and it is not too sweet. But I am sure for people who do not like strong concentrated stuff will find this too much for them. but I simply enjoy it, very much.
