Whisk Cafe In Tiong Bahru, White & Dreamy

Whisk Cafe, a latest addition to Tiong Bahru area is quite easy to locate the cafe as it is opposite of the famous Tiong Bahru Food Centre and Market.

It has an all white dreamy elegant feel; from the facade of the building to the furniture and the wall of the cafe, everything I see is white.

There are some selection of cakes and pastries. I was informed by the staff that their signature cake is the Carrot Cake. Since it is their signature, no reason for not trying.

I have a Cappuccino with my Carrot Cake. The Carrot Cake is a nutty one. Lots of chopped walnut in the cake and on the side, there are more nuts, it tasted like peanut. It is also filled with shredded carrots. The cake itself is fluffy, soft and flavourful with a good amount of spice. The cake itself is so flavourful till you do not need the cream cheese frosting. If you are a Carrot Cake fan and loves nut, this is like tailored made for you.

The coffee serve is good as well. It has a medium body with medium to high acidity and nutty hint.

I wanted more sweets so I got more for takeaway for sharing. A total of three other items. We like the Lemon Tart. It is a little sourish but with a smooth tangy lemon curd. The biscuit melted in the mouth. The cheesecake is great as well. The texture is smooth and cheesy with a more lemony tangy flavour. The least on our chart is the Strawberry Shortcake as we find the cake a little rough. We prefer a smooth spongy cake instead.

The cakes offered in Whisk is considerably delicious but selection is a little limited. I will want to try their macaroons next, though I am not a fan.
