M(-a-)ki san has a very very interesting concept, you can mix-and-match for both Sushi and Salad. It is so highly customised till you can decide or rather choose each and every ingredient from the list. I was extremely excited about the concept.
Keen to get started?
First, decide whether you would like to have sushi or salad, and get the correct form from the center of the counter. They provided a clear plastic board for your writing too.
There is an instruction on how to fill up the form. As I tried only the sushi so here it goes for the sushi ordering. You can do likewise for the salad.
Now decide whether you want a small, choose “Little San” or big, choose “Mega San”. Then proceed to the next section to the type of wrap and rice. Next choose the essential ingredients (3 for Little San, 5 for Mega San), special ingredient (only for Mega San), the type of sprinkle and lastly sauce. And remember to use one form for one sushi.
If you find it too cumbersome to do the mix and match, you can choose from the House range. On the form, there are snacks, soup and drinks for selection too.
Once you are done with the form, you are ready to order, proceed to the cashier with the form, made payment and you will be given a number tag.
Wait for your number to be called and collect your order.
Each sushi is packed in a very nice box. I am very impressed with the packaging.
Now, I am ready to enjoy my sushi. The taste of the sushi is decent but certainly not very comparable with the restaurant standard, especially true for the rice.
Despite the not so tasty rice, I will still return for the sushi as I like having a sushi with all my favourite ingredients and for takeaway, it is really a very convenient option. Plus the location is very accessible for me.
