Syun Contemporary Japanese Restaurant At Resort World Sentosa

As I got to know Syun Contemporary Japanese Restaurant at Resort World Sentosa is serving set lunch, I decided to take a walk to Sentosa for lunch at Syun.

I like the entrance to the restaurant. It has much tranquility and it really resembles a small Japanese lodge.

There are two main categories for lunch, Sushi Roll Set or Jyu Box Set. For the Sushi Roll set it comes with Green Salad Yuzu Ginger Dressing, Steamed Egg Custard and Udon Kansai Style while the Jyu Box Set includes Miso Soup, Kailan and Tofu, Steamed Egg Custard and Green Salad Yuzu Ginger Dressing .

I have a hard time deciding which I wanted as all looks so good but since I have tried none so I just went ahead with the Syun Premium Roll.

Green Salad Yuzu Ginger Dressing

First dish served was the Green Salad Yuzu Ginger Dressing. It has a nice Yuzu fragrance but some portion of the salad was a little too sour while the other wasn’t. The Ginger flavour was very subtle. It was certainly refreshing.

Very quickly, the rest of the food were served. All the food looked equally delish and I didn’t know which to start.

The Syun Premium Roll has Yellow tail and Salmon Sashimi, Crab stick, cucumber, Omelette, Pickle and Avocado. This light cater mainly for the light tastebud. The wasabi likewise wasn’t shocking at all.

Surprisingly, the egg custard was so good. It was smooth and flavourful. There isn’t much ingredients in the egg, interestingly, there was lily bulb in it. I am not a Steamed Egg Custard fan though I like eggs but I really enjoyed it very much.

Udon Kansai Style

Lastly, I have the Udon Kansai. When I saw the noodles, I didn’t find it looked like Udon at all. It looked like Linguine. Forget about the look, the noodle was extremely smooth. This is another light dish.

I took a look at the Dinner Menu too and it was pretty interesting, especially the chef’s signature, the Sea Urchin Rolled by Wagyu Beef. It sounded so awesome. I am going to try soon.

The restaurant is located at Festive Walk but it is not that easy to find the restaurant. To help my reader to find the restaurant, here are some direction. The Festive Walk is located between the Festive Hotel and the Hotel Michael.  Try to spot for “Oaisis” when you are at the Lake of Dreams. Once you see that, climb the steps of stairs and you will see Syun on your left.
