The key in differentiating the 4 flavours is in the sauce; your favourite would really depend on your preference. The only spicy among the 4 is the Golden Mexican Chicken. Each is at $10.80 and is available at all outlets, including delivery, dine-in and takeaway.

Beside the Golden Chicken, we savoured many pizzas, meatballs, onion rings and …

Ham Bao Bao, A Burger Stall, At Beauty World Centre

The hawker centre at the forth level of Beauty World Centre, there you will find a stall sending burgers, Ham Bao Bao.

It doesn’t has much on its menu, very focus with five types of burgers. You can find the usual Beef and Fish burgers, 2 types of pork burgers and a chicken burger that is infused with local flavour, Ayam Buah Kerluak.  When there is burger, how could fries be missing.

Menu
Menu

Everything on the menu looks delish to me and I wish I could try them all. What attracted me most was the Ayam Buah Kerluak. I like fusion dishes. The burger has a pretty thick black chicken patty due to the Buah Kerluak. I find the Buah Kerluak a bit too much and has masked the chicken flavour. For the fries, instead of using frozen fries, they cut the fresh potato into strip and fried it.

The pricing of the food are reasonable. If you don’t mind the heat and the ambience, Ham Bao Bao is a good alternative to McDonald that can be found on the first floor of Beauty World Centre. I am keen to try the Classic Beef Burger and Pulled Pork next.

Fat Cow Palace, Superb Burgers In Chinatown (Closed)

Fat Cow Burgers after established themselves in Malaysia, crosses the Causeway and found its way to Singapore and rested at Chinatown and it is named Fat Cow Palace.

Fat Cow Burgers is along the same street of Arterial Cafe or the infamous dessert shop, Mei Heong Yuen. I have been asking my brother who loves beef burger to try out Fat Cow with me for quite a while but he never make it. So I decided to go solo.

Fat Cow Palace Menu
Fat Cow Palace Menu

The main highlights in Fat Cow Palace is the Beef Burgers. There are 5 beef burgers with various filling and sauces. If you don’t take beef, there are Chicken Burgers as well. Among other items, include salad, pasta, soup and skewers. The missing category in their menu is finger food.

All the burgers come with french fries, a side salad and a drink (mainly soft drinks)

Farm Shroom
Farm Shroom

I went for Farm Shroom. The interior of the sesame bun is the charcoal bun. I find it a little too crispy. The beef patty was excellent, moist, juicy and tender. I could taste lots of the natural beef juicy goodness. It was a pity that the mushroom was way too salty. It seems like the fries are made from fresh cut potatoes but somehow the potato flavour was a little too light. The salad was good though.

I am sure I will return when I crave for Beef Burger. I will drag my brother along the next time. LOL

Dojo, Pork Only Burgers and Sandwiches At Circular Road

Dojo is a burger joint that has an all Pork Menu for its Burgers and Sandwiches. You won’t find any other meat. Located at the fringe of the Financial Districts, it is closed on Sundays.

This burger restaurant is very much self-service, starting from ordering to collection, it is DIY. A buzzer will be given when the order is done at the cashier. Wait for it to buzz and collect the food from the collection counter.

Basically for the Burgers, there are either pork patty in the burger with different fillings or sauces such as mushrooms, teriyaki sauce, chilli sauce, fried onions. Alternatively it is with pork steak (there is only one with pork steak, named Little Dragon). As for the sandwiches, I find it a little more exciting, though the selection is limited to 2 choices. Either with pork belly slices or bacon. I will try the sandwich next.

All Burgers and Sandwiches come with fries and a soft drink and it is served  in the Dim Sum Bamboo holder.

Kaju Burger with fries
Kaju Burger with fries

As I like my Beef Burger with mushroom so I ordered the Pork Patty Burger with Mushroom to see how I like it.

In short, very different in tasting experience, nevertheless I like it. The pork patty is very much like eating the Chinese Steamed Minced Pork. It reminded me of a Chinese dish named as the Lion Head when you translated it literally (狮子头). Mushroom didn’t seems to enhance the flavour of pork as much as it did to beef. Some room for improvement for the fries. If they could serve with freshly prepared potato cut fries, that would be marvellous.

Interior
Interior

The ambience of Dojo is casual. No fancy design. The restaurant it pretty small in size, divided into two section, with and without air-con.

I like the idea of a all Pork Menu. I like the taste, very much like fusion burger. I will return to try the sandwich.

Alt. Pizza At Suntec City

I saw the Alt Pizza’s poster weekend 1-for-1 promotion stand around the Fountain at Suntec City weeks ago and has wanted to go for it. I asked my brother, a pizza fan, if he wanted to try. So we decided to go during the F1 weekend and to catch a glimpse of the racing car at work, though I am not a fan.

The Pizza Restaurant had mainly red coloured-furntiure with a little retro elements in the design, such as a picture on the wall with bright colours, the neon lights and the pizza boxes withe retro design that was used to decorate the restaurant. The restaurant isn’t big, and its a pity that the seats were placed very closely to each other.

There were two menu, the food and the drinks. They offer mainly pizza with some sides. If you can’t find anything you like from the standard menu pizza, you can customise your own pizza. There are various ingredients for you to choose.

Alt Pizza offer thin based pizza which I am sure many will welcome. It has the best bread based. It is thin enough, giving a crisp and yet there is bread texture and taste in the inside. We have the Hangover Pizza that has tomato sauce with pepperoni, my brother’s favourite and the other is the Alpha Lima Tango Pizza that has a bbq sauce and meatballs. Both are good but we prefer The Hangover Pizza as it is stronger in taste. The meatball on the Alpha Lima Tango Pizza is excellent. We will go for the Meatball only the next time, which is a side item on the menu too.

Certainly, we will return to try more. I am already thinking of the Crabby Ninja for the next round. LOL.
