HarriAnn’s Delight At Bugis Junction

HarriAnn’s Delight is a Kopitiam serving traditional coffee. It is located at a corner of Bugis Junction, ground floor, outside BHG departmental store, facing Victoria Street. It is kind of hidden, not very obvious.

There are mainly seats with no air-condition.

HarriAnn’s Delight offers 6 tea/breakfast set and 4 main meal sets with a Special of the day. Out of the 6 tea/breakfast sets served at HarriAnn’s Delight, I tried 2. The first I tried was the Set A5. It consisted of 4 pieces of Bite-sized Kueh and 3 Ondeh Ondeh (Chocolate, Yam and Gula Melaka, one each). The kueh were soft and it didn’t stick to my teeth and it has a strong enough coconut fragrance but unfortunately, they tasted very much the same with no strong distinct flavours. After trying the two other original flavours, the Chocolate and Yam, I still prefer the Gula Melaka. A pity that the Gula Melaka is a little too diluted.

Set A3 with Chiffon Cake (Orange or Pandan)

The second was the A3 set with tea/coffee, 2 eggs & Chiffon Cake, choice of Orange or Pandan. The Chiffon Cake was soft and a nice orangish aroma.

I tried their Yellow Bean Paste Ang Ku Kueh too. Alternative, you could choose the Peanut ones. The bean paste is lightly sweetened. That’s the way I like.

There were much raving about its Laksa so I was curious to find out how it fare so I ordered a set and it came with a drink. I opted for Iced Honey Lemon. I didn’t quite like the Honey Lemon as it left an unpleasant aftertaste that linger for quite a while in the mouth. As for the Laksa, it was creamy and full of sweetness with decent amount of prawns, fish cake slices and Tau Po but a little lack of the Laksa fragrance from the Laksa Leaf.

Overall, HarriAnn’s Delight is a nice place to have kopi break or a quick lunch. I am keen to try their Curry Chicken and Polo Bun next.
